Dr. Amy Kweskin

About Me and how I can work with you…

I specialize in guiding arts entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations in developing strategic plans that are aspirational and actionable.

• Learn about my easy-to-understand approach to strategic planning in the book Business of Art: An Artist’s Guide to Profitable Self-Employment published by Center for Cultural Innovation .

As a nationally recognized expert in Arts Management I teach in the University of Oklahoma Online Masters in Arts Management program

Courses I designed and deliver:

• Entrepreneurial Mindset in the Arts
• Strategic Thinking in the Arts Leadership

I earned my Doctor of Business Administration and Masters of Arts Administration from Golden Gate University in the heart of San Francisco, California. Through my work with artists, arts organizations and municipalities across California I became interested in the impact of state-wide policy on the arts ecosystem, resulting in my Doctoral Dissertation study:

• Exploration of California worker status law compliance on arts fiscal sponsors and fiscally sponsored arts projects: A case study.

In 2026 I envisioned and launched Artsightful with the intention of creating a National Community of Practice to share insights into the Business of Art, built on the Artsopolis platform.
